Behaviour Quality Mark – Gold Reaccredited School

On the 30th September 2026, the school was reaccredited its ‘Gold’ Behaviour Quality Mark and presented with it at County Hall, Preston.  The school was the first school to be moderated under the current BQM Framework, and the first school in Lancashire to be awarded Gold. This prestigious recognition reflects the dedication, hard work and commitment to pupils, staff, governors and families across the entire school community.

In his speech to us, Councillor Matthew Salter said, “The school is “joy”, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children are happy, safe and proud to learn. Pupils consistently demonstrate kindness, respect, excellent behaviour and a genuine commitment to supporting one another. Cop Lane clearly embodies its values and Christian ethos, while actively embracing and celebrating diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences of its pupils and families. It consistently demonstrates a positive learning culture, strong leadership, highly inclusive ethos and strong trusting relationships between staff and pupils. Every child is valued and all pupils are encouraged to achieve their best. Staff are dedicated and their commitment to professional development, inclusion and high expectations ensures that all children can thrive academically and personally. The leadership team and Behaviour Lead are to be commended for their vision, passion and unwavering drive for excellence. This award is a testament to a school where kindness, respect, positive behaviour, strong relationships, ambition and care are at the heart of everything. It is a richly deserved achievement and a reflection of a community that truly lives its values everyday.”
