At Cop Lane CE Primary School, we use myHappymind to help create a positive mental wellbeing culture in which children build resilience, self-esteem and character.
myHappymind uses the latest research, science and technology to help children develop lifelong habits and learn to thrive.
myHappymind is taught across the whole school and consists of 5 units:
Meet Your Brain Understanding how our brain works and how to ensure we look after it, so that we can manage our emotions and be at our best. Growth mindset is a key part of this too.
Celebrate Understanding our unique character strengths and learning to celebrate them. This module develops strategies for building self-esteem.
Appreciate Understanding why gratitude matters, its connection to wellbeing and recognising how we can develop gratitude as a habit.
Relate Understanding why positive relationships are important and recognising the building blocks of good friendships and relationships.
Engage Understanding how to set meaningful goals that matter and how to keep resilient in times of challenge. This module is all about building self-esteem and resilience too.
To further embed this learning, ‘My Happy Mind’ has developed a useful (free!) Parent App. Resources can be accessed online on your computer, or through an app on your phone.
The Parent App will support you as a parent in understanding what your child is learning, activities for you to do together at home and also a Kids Zone featuring ‘My Happy Mind’ games plus much more!
To access these materials just go to https://myhappymind.org/parent-resources to create your free account. Or simply scan this QR code to sign up.
You will need to enter your name, email, and authentication code.
Our Cop Lane school authentication code is 119363
Once you have created your account, you will receive an email with the next steps on downloading the app.
We really encourage you to make use of this free content so that you can support your child in getting the best out of the curriculum. If you want to know more about the Parent App then scan this QR code for a short video which explains more.
If you have any questions about ‘My Happy Mind’, please contact your class teacher or Mrs Hodgson. If you have any technical questions about accessing the resources, please contact hello@myHappymind.org
myHappymind Parent Resources
The resources on the parent app are split into two main sections:
1) Material to help you understand the programme and what your child is learning at school, thereby enabling you to engage with them and use similar principles at home.
2) Activities that complement the programme, for you to do together at home. The ‘home’ activities are split by Key Stage.
- Early Years – for Nursery & Reception children.
- Key Stage 1 – for children in Years 1 & 2.
- Key Stage 2 – for children in Years 3 – 6.

myHappymind Kids Zone
There is also a section of the app for children to use at home with games, music, animated stories, posters and even happy breathing videos.
MyHappymind Bronze accredited school
We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children’s resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!
